Fidel Castro was a politician and a revolutionary. He was a Cuban nationalist.

Fidel castro was prime minister of Republic of Cuba. He remained Prime minister of Cuba from 1959-1976. He was president of Cuba from  1976 to 2008. Cuba became one party socialist under the administration of Fidel Castro.

-Castro was Born in Biran.

-He studied Law at university of Havana.

-Fidel launched a failed attack on Moncada Barracks in 1953.

-On 26th of  july after a year of imprisonment he travelled to Mexico. There he formed a revolutionary group with his brother Raul Castro and Che Guevara.

-After this he took a key leading part in Cuba revolution. He lead the guerilla warfare against Batista’s force from Sierra Maestra.

Castro formed an alliance with the Soviets. He allowed them to place nuclear weapons on the island, sparking the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was a reason of the incident of the Cold War in 1962.

-Fidel Castro remained a controversial figure in his lifetime. But because of his writing and thoughts he influenced many political groups and individuals.

-Fidel Castro orchestrated the Cuban Revolution and was the head of Cuba’s government until 2008.

– His father, Ángel, was a wealthy sugar plantation owner originally from Spain.

– Castro had married Mirta Díaz Balart, who was from a wealthy political family in Cuba. They had one child, named Fidel, in 1949.

– He developed an interest in the work of Karl Marx and became intent on running for a seat in the Cuban congress.

-Castro died in 25 November 2016.
