Fidel castro was prime minister of Republic of Cuba. He remained Prime minister of Cuba from 1959-1976. He was president of Cuba from 1976 to 2008. Cuba became one party socialist under the administration of Fidel Castro.

-He studied Law at university of Havana.
-Fidel launched a failed attack on Moncada Barracks in 1953.
-On 26th of july after a year of imprisonment he travelled to Mexico. There he formed a revolutionary group with his brother Raul Castro and Che Guevara.
-After this he took a key leading part in Cuba revolution. He lead the guerilla warfare against Batista’s force from Sierra Maestra.
– Castro formed an alliance with the Soviets. He allowed them to place nuclear weapons on the island, sparking the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was a reason of the incident of the Cold War in 1962.
-Fidel Castro remained a controversial figure in his lifetime. But because of his writing and thoughts he influenced many political groups and individuals.
